As busy city dwellers, it's hard to get in touch with our domestic side. Sure, we'd love to be able to whip up a delicious meal with the ease and beauty of Giada or Sandra (how do they do it?), but, well, there's a reason we don't have a cooking show. So, we call upon the expert chefs of Chicago's to-die-for restaurants to give us a leg up when it comes to getting our grub on.

Thankfully, this fall brings the opening of tons of scene-y and delicious new eateries meant to wine and dine your nearest and dearest — and we've got a line on the three buzziest of the bunch. Whether you're looking for a casual brunch with friends or you want to turn up the heat with Chi-town's sultriest date spot, we've got you covered. And, we've even gone ahead and picked out the best ensembles to don while you dine. Now, all you have to worry about is scoring that in-demand reservation.

While Carriage House has been open for over a month, they're set to launch an all-new brunch service this fall, which will no doubt attract the city's chicest mimosa lovers. Since you'll probably be tired from a late night out, you'll want to stick to a more casual look — a sweater dress, cozy tights, and flat boots will do the trick.

Carriage House, 1700 West Division Street (at Paulina Street); 773-384-9700.

Club Monaco Winne Sweater Dress, $179.50, available at Club Monaco; Gorjana Kingston Wrap Bracelet, $69, available at Zappos; 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Mini Satchel, $650, available at Forward by Elyse Walker; J.Crew Control-top Tights, $26.50, available at J.Crew; Frye Lindsay Plate Short Booties, $288, available at Shopbop.
