Ooh La La! Figaro Bistro Opens Its French Doors In DTLA

Between Church & State and Coco Laurent, DTLA is quickly becoming a hot spot for French cuisine. Figaro (yep, from the same folks who brought you the très cute Los Feliz outpost) now has a massive, refined sibling in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of Broadway.

The 18,000-square-foot eatery, which celebrated its grand opening just last week, spans two floors of a landmark structure (a whopping 85-years-old!) with an elaborate facade. Interior designer Bertrand Genoist was brought on to instill the history of the SoCal landmark with a typical Parisian dining experience. So, in addition to bar and patio seating, the restaurant has a full boulangerie patisserie that offers fabulous French goodies, including macaroons, baguettes, and quiches — definitely delicious, but not exactly helpful for that New Year’s resolution to get fit! And yes, you can expect a bit of déjà vu with a menu similar to the original location. Steak frites and crêpes, anyone?

When: Sunday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to midnight.
Where: Figaro, 618 South Broadway (near West 6th Street); 213-622-2116.
