Malia Obama just gave POTUS and FLOTUS (there's still a few more hours, right?) yet another reason to beam with pride.
The First Daughter has scored an internship working for famed Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, The Hollywood Reporter confirms. The 18-year-old high school graduate will start work at the New York City office of The Weinstein Co. in February. First, though, she's joining her family for a Palm Springs vacation.
Obama, who will begin her studies at Harvard University in the fall, clearly seems to be pursuing a career in the entertainment business. Her past work experience includes stints on the former CBS show Extant as well as HBO's Girls.
As the former head of Miramax and current producer behind films like Lion, Weinstein has a reputation for being one of Hollywood's most powerful players. Indeed, his famous temper has been the butt of many awards show jokes. Will he be the Miranda Priestly to Malia's Andy?
