The Best & The Brightest Reactions To The Bachelor Last Night

Last night's episode of The Bachelor saw a few routine occurrences (a date featuring athletic prowess, a lot of red crop tops) and a few not-so-regular events (flying in a zero-gravity plane, the mention of "cheese pasta," etc.). And the world watched with interest. This is hyperbole — the entire world does not watch The Bachelor. However, all of Bachelor Nation watches the show and, lucky for us, keeps a running commentary on Twitter. The Nation includes but is not limited to former contestants, former winners, superfans, podcast hosts, and various celebrities who aren't ashamed to admit they watch the show.

Ahead, you'll find the folks who had the funniest reactions to last night's antics. This week, as with last week, many focused on the peculiar movements of our villain Corinne. (Or, as Corinne herself says on Instagram, "Corn.") On the positive side of things, many were enthused with Viall's one-on-one date with Vanessa, the Montreal native. Still others loved Alexis, the former dolphin-shark, who gave us this perfect line: "Move, bitches."

The Bachelor is an entertaining show. But the reactions are even more enthralling.

Why The Bachelor Matters More Than Ever In 2017

Michelle Collins, who previously hosted After Paradise, a Bachelor spin-off, has some prime commentary for Nick's ties.

If you'll recall, Caila Quinn was the third runner-up on Ben's season (that's season 20).

Carly Waddell got engaged to Evan Bass on Bachelor in Paradise last summer. These days, she's still engaged to Bass and busy live-tweeting The Bachelor with her mother. Here, she makes an excellent point — are these 23/24/25-year-olds of age to understand Backstreet Boys fandom?

One of many fan accounts, Bachelor Burn Book repeatedly brings the funny with its commentary. Last night, Corinne gets upset that she can't do "planned dancing." Olivia Caridi from Ben Higgins' season also failed at fancy footwork once upon a time. (Caridi was also the villain of her season.)

This photo, plucked from Bachelor producer Elan Gale's Instagram, gives a behind-the-scenes look at that zero-gravity date. If you, like me, were wondering how they managed to film the date in zero gravity, here's your answer: Camera operators clung to sides of the plane to get a good shot of the couple. (The man in the foreground with the unmistakeable hair is Gale.)

Vanessa vomits. Nick kisses her. It's gross. For some, though, the move was pure romance. (And no one can deny that those peepers seem quite adoring.)

Some of the ladies this week take issue with the fact that Corinne is but 24. Some of the same ladies are only a year older than Corinne. (Sorry, Raven, but a year older does not a wiser woman make.)

Oh, hey, Sean Lowe! Once upon a time, Lowe was the Bachelor. These days, he's running commentary from the sidelines. And I'm with Lowe here — a woman who naps is a wise woman. Napping is always the right decision.

"Move, bitches."

It was the best response to getting a rose in the series so far.

Elan Gale, the MVP of Bachelor commentary, proclaimed his love for Alexis on Twitter. (Granted, Gale produces the show, but still.)
