Every episode of The Bachelor sees the sweet progression of true love — and more than a few breakups. The bachelor says goodbye to those who weren't meant to be at the rose ceremony. A few ladies don't get roses and must immediately pack their bags and head for home. Usually, there are tears. Sometimes, there are melancholy speeches. (You might remember Daniel's winning diatribe about shaving during a lightning storm from Jojo's season.) No matter what, though, every exit makes for good television. Because as much as we're watching for the joy of true love, we're also watching for the horrors of true love. Horrors like being dumped on national television, you know?

Ahead, you'll find the eliminated contestants from last night's episode of The Bachelor. Every week, when Nick Viall ditches a few of his 30 potential future wives, we will update this list. Here's to the gals who lost at love — good luck getting your job back, and may you have all the luck in the world on Tinder.

Why I'm Giving Up The Bachelor For Season 21

Lacey, Week Two

Our chipper blonde from New York left with kind words for our Bachelor.

"You're gonna do great," she told Viall after the rose ceremony, as if she were a soccer mom giving a pep talk.

Hailey, Week Two

Of the three women who went home during the Week Two rose ceremony (which aired during the third episode), Hailey seemed the most distraught.

"I've been in love before and I know what it feels like and I know how amazing it is," she said tearfully during her exit. "I absolutely do want to find love. I'm just sad that Nick didn't choose me."

After the tears, though, Hailey had choice words for this season's villain. "But if Nick is really attracted to someone like Corinne, like, that's what upsets me. That's what shocks me."

Shots thrown.

Elizabeth W., Week Two

Alack, alas, we lack another blonde lass. Elizabeth didn't make a huge impression during her short stint on the show, so her presence won't be missed.

Elizabeth "Liz," Week Two

Sadly, our dear doula was not long for The Bachelor. Liz had already slept with Nick by the time she arrived in the limo, so her chances seemed promising. However, her arrival seemed suspicious. Why didn't she get Nick's number after Jade and Tanner's wedding? Why, nine months later, did she show up on the show, looking to date Nick?

"Part of me wants to find a reason to want to keep Liz around, but the more I talk to Liz, the less she makes sense," Nick said about the doula from Nevada.

In the final segment of the episode, our Bachelor told her, point blank: "I just don't think we have a future." He kicked her off before the rose ceremony (which will presumably be featured in next week's episode.)

Angela, Week One

Alas, the 26-year-old model was one of the women on the first night who made the poor decision to wear a red dress. Was that why she got kicked off? Probably not, but the way those ladies reacted to the red dress surplus seemed to indicate the color did not bode well.

Jasmine B., Week One

Jasmine B., we hardly knew ye. She was the season's requisite flight attendant, but she didn't last past the first episode.

Briana, Week One

Our surgical unit nurse got a little handsy on the first night — she donned a latex glove and asked Viall to "bend over" for her. Listen, I'm always down for a bit of surgical unit humor. The bachelor, however, was not.

Lauren H., Week One

Lauren the "law school graduate" made a funny joke about her last name — it's Hussey. As in, hussy. Sadly, Viall didn't take to her sense of humor. (Lauren, we're down for it.)

Olivia, Week One

Our Alaska native put her best fur forward — not a typo, she actually wore fur — but Viall left her cold at the end of the first epsiode.

Ida Marie, Week One

The 23-year-old Texas native asked Nick Viall to catch her in a trust fall. He caught her then, but dropped her to the curb at the rose ceremony.

Michelle, Week One

She owns a food truck (or several food trucks), but she couldn't lay claim to Nick Viall's heart.

Susannah, Week One

Susannah said in her initial interview that she wanted to embody Chrissy Teigen, which, in our opinion, is a better goal than that of trying to win Nick Viall's heart.
