Thursday was a very good day for young Ms. Emma Stone. Taking an hour or so off of her Gangster Squad press tour, cuddling with Andrew Garfield, and generally being awesome, she announced the nominees for the Academy Awards (a pretty good gig if you can put up with getting out of bed before dawn and standing next to Seth MacFarlane). Then, the Internet was graced with a leaked photo of her February cover, which was shot by Juergen Teller, for W — her second for the stylish pub. As you can see, despite the fact that this is only a photo of the cover (which makes it look so blown out), Stone is the perfect embodiment of geeky, slightly self-conscious cool. (Feels a bit like a '90s-era Hedi Slimane shot in color, right?). We really can't wait to see the editorial inside once it hits stands — though we may have to don oven mits to pick it up.
