It's high traffic season at the gym — and not just because of that whole "resolutions" thing. All your favorite fitness studios and workout haunts know this is the time to get new customers. That means deals! Both newbies and seasoned pros can get a little extra burn for their buck this month. So, whether you've got your weightlifting goals or your wallet in mind (or maybe both), January is an especially appealing time to try something new.

Maybe you're looking to round out your cardio classes with some core-strengthening yoga. Or maybe you're sick of running in the cold and gloomy outdoors. Or perhaps you're just looking for a cheap way to boost your mood (and your heart rate) a few times a week.

Whatever you're after, this is the month to get after it. Ahead, we've rounded up a few of the best deals out there for popular classes and gym membership packages. All you've gotta do is bring your sneakers.

Planet Fitness

Through January 11, new members can get a membership for just $10 per month with only $1 down. That comes with zero commitment and, as always, zero judgment.

ClassPass

After increasing prices and axing the unlimited plan, ClassPass has taken a fair amount of criticism recently. But if you're new to the service, you can get a killer deal this month: Snag the Base Plan, which includes five classes and is normally $75/month, for only $19.

SoulCycle

If you haven't tried SoulCycle yet, this could be the deal to finally get you on a bike. This month, new riders can get three classes for $60 (normally $34 each).

Pure Barre

These strength-building classes may seem intimidating, but barre has gained an enthusiastic cult following recently. If you'd like to try it out, Pure Barre is offering newbies a full month of unlimited classes (price varies by location).

Yoga Works

The best thing about Yoga Works is the variety. Besides offering classes in a bunch of different yoga styles, there are also circuit training and bar-based classes. Right now, you can try out as many as you want for two weeks for just $25.

Flywheel

If you're new to the indoor cycling scene, Flywheel will generously set you up with a class for just $15 (normally $34). But if you're a veteran looking to really get moving in 2017, you can opt for the Fly Into 2017 Challenge, which gets you 20 classes (normally $600) and a whole bunch of perks for $510.

CorePower Yoga

CorePower offers a variety of yoga classes (and even a cardio-based circuit training class) at different temperatures and difficulties. If you're new, you can get a whole week of classes for free.

Y7 Studio

The yoga classes at Y7 are famous for the challenging pace and the hip-hop soundtrack. And newbies can get some pretty sweet deals: Two weeks of unlimited classes for $45, or a whole month for $99 (usually $179). And, if you're already a devotee, you can try the Sweat Out 16 challenge — taking 16 classes in January for just $169 — and get a free hoodie!

Blink Fitness

We're big fans of Blink's body-positive message, and joining the gym for just $1 isn't so bad either.

24 Hour Fitness

New members at 24 Hour Fitness can get right into things without an initiation fee this month.

Pure Yoga

The NYC yoga studio is offering a month of free membership for anyone who completes the January Challenge: practicing 10 times within 30 days of when you join.
