Last night's award show saw a ton of colorful beauty looks and wonderfully-accessorized dresses (and pantsuits!), but the most unexpected trend to steal the show? Contouring and highlighting — of the breasts. Blame all the plunging necklines if you'd like, but a few talented makeup artists got to show off just how seamlessly they can buff and blend makeup — this time well below the chin. (Proof that their artistry isn't done when they reach the jawline.)
Now, to be clear, this is nothing new. Celebs wear full body makeup on the regular, but this year saw an uptick in stars and makeup artists being incredibly open about it, sharing images on social media and divulging the products they used to get there.
It may convince you to give it a go, or to to give your chest a little extra skin-care love before bed, or to pour another glass of wine as you sit back on the couch saying "see ya never, body contouring." The choice, as always, is up to you. Now check out all the looks ahead.
Kristen Bell
Bell is the queen of (hilariously) telling us that she's just a normal person stuck in a celebrity's body — and we couldn't love her more for it. Last night, she posted a BTS shot on Instagram that showed her makeup artist Simone A Siegl touching up her chest — bib and all. It appears that Siegl used a mix of liquid foundation and highlighter to craft the smooth, radiant finish.

Mandy Moore
According to Racked, Moore is rocking a heavy dose of Laura Mercier Face Illuminator in Indiscretion on her chest. (A worthy product name if we ever heard one.) Makeup artist Jenn Streicher also prepped Moore's skin with Caudalie's Premier Cru Elixir and Cream — proof that a great moisturizer goes a long, long way.

Heidi Klum
Klum's body glow came courtesy of St. Tropez One Night Only Finishing Gloss (available this coming March at Ulta, Sephora, and StTropez.com), which gave her skin a bronzed and shimmery finish. Makeup artist Linda Hay applied a thin layer all over, then went back in with a large brush dipped in the formula to buff a second layer over her arms and décolletage.

Jessica Biel
Makeup artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua, working for Chanel Beauté, had this to say about Biel's radiant skin: "It might sound indulgent, but I prepped her entire body with Chanel La Solution 10 de Chanel Sensitive Skin Cream so her skin would really glow." It may not be contour or highlighter, but smearing a $110 face cream all over your body has got to count for something, right?

Naomi Campbell
The original Supers know a thing or two about standing out and setting trends. Campbell stepped out at the Weinstein Company/Netflix after-party with shimmer that gave her an other-worldly glow — from face to decollagé. Tip: A primer that's too glittery for your face makes a great body lotion booster.

Naomie Harris
Makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, working for Chanel Beauté, created this glowing look on Harris last night. He said he used the brand's Blue Serum for a "healthy, even base" before reaching for makeup. Of course, given the radiant finish on her décollage and shoulders, we'd guess the hydrating formula was buffed in everywhere the light hit. And then some highlighter on top of that.
