Autocult 2013 Calendar Release Party
We’ve been aware that Pretty Pretty Collective is a rad go-to for pretty locks ever since they showed us a duo of awkward-length styles. So, when we heard the salon is throwing Autocult magazine's 2013 calendar release party, we knew we’d be in for a treat that goes beyond our tresses. Expect hot rods to be revved up on the scene, as well as overflowing libations, and head-bobbing tunes. Plus, you can scoop up your cal for $5 less than the normal price. Score!
When: Saturday, January 12, 6 to 10 p.m.
Where: Pretty Pretty Collective, 3290 22nd Street (at Valencia Street); 415-282-2002.
Just East of Here Exhibit Opening Reception
If you’re from “Just East of here,” then this exhibit will be like a slice of home. A duo of artists, Ahren Hertel and Jaxon Northon, have created an entire gallery full of works that derive from their homes in Reno, Nevada, and Hertel. More specifically, the pieces stand to reflect the conflict between human and nature interaction in the region. Color us curious! Not to mention, the opening reception will be a boozy and DJ’d affair that’s not to be missed.
When: Saturday, January 12, 6 to 10 p.m.
Where: Modern Eden Gallery, 403 Francisco Street (at Powell Street); 415-956-3303.
