[UPDATE: This story was originally published on September 12.]
Don’t get us wrong. We will forever fancy an elaborately crafted cocktail, but sometimes, we like to keep it simple, skip the frills, and opt for a frothy, cold glass of beer. And while we enjoy sipping a tasty microbrew (or three!), we wouldn’t go out on a limb and call ourselves connoisseurs … until now.
We bopped around S.F., hitting up some of the city’s most lauded breweries, bars, and restaurants in search of mugs that are different, alluring, and that even non-beer lovers can savor. All in the name of research, of course. From a Honey Saison that will drive your taste buds wild to a graham-cracker-and-s'mores brewski any dessert fiend woud flip for, you’d be hard-pressed not to find a cold one that’s up your alley here. Hey, it’s five o’clock somewhere, right?
