Remember the Hurricane Katrina telethon? You know, the one where Kanye West made some pretty inflammatory comments about former President George Bush? Well, hopefully, this won't be anything like that. Instead, hopefully, we will get a tear-jerking tribute to New Jersey, courtesy of its son Bruce Springsteen and Bronx-born Billy Joel, along with (perhaps) a powerhouse performance from Christina Aguilera (and Sting, too. Because wherever there is crisis, Sting saves the day).
Hosted by Matt Lauer (with appearances by Jimmy Fallon and Brian Williams), the fundraiser is set to play from 8 to 9 p.m. on NBC networks (which includes SyFy, Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, and MSNBC), and is hoping to raise some relief for those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
