There's a lot to be jealous over when it comes to our friends over in
Europe, but the fact that they have whole sections in their local H&Ms devoted to home decor was a little too much to bear. Finally, H&M Home is coming to the U.S. in early '13 and will offer linens, decorative storage, and knickknacks (no furniture or dishwater yet, but we'll have to be patient). Prices are slightly more expensive than Ikea, but the designs are a lot less college-dorm room and a lot more "my first nice apartment," which is always appreciated.
The designs will draw direct inspiration from fashion, and after looking at the Southwest weaves, mega floral prints, and palettes and faux fur, we can see that the translation makes perfect sense. Let's just hope that H&M sticks to its launch date and don't leave us hanging (we're still waiting for that
e-commerce launch, guys!). (
