What's black, white, and chic all over? The highly anticipated new NARS boutique finally opened its doors this weekend, and while no formal dress code was provided, guests were clad in matching dark hues. Of course, that's just from the neck down — many of the mugs we spotted pulled out all the stops with bold lips, smoky eyes, and flushed cheeks (thanks in part to NARS' iconic Orgasm blush!).
Sandwiched between Marc by Marc Jacobs and DASH, the West Coast flagship is nothing short of très chic. François Nars himself was on hand for the big reveal, and couldn't help but beam with joy the entire time — he definitely added his two cents to the store's layout, after all! And, it wouldn't be a proper L.A. party without a slew of celebs in tow to help celebrate. Stars like Alessandra Ambrosio and Mandy Moore mingled as rosé champagne and colorful hors d'oeuvres were passed around.
While the guest list was filled with fashion's finest, it was the makeup brand's minimalist decor paired with its super-saturated colors that made us dizzy with excitement. Just think: An entire shop dedicated to NARS' electrifying eye shadows and coveted collabs (the Warhol one is on shelves now!).
