UPDATE: This story was originally published on September 21. Even though road trips are normally thought of as summer adventures, there's something to be said for a fall getaway, highway style. The air is crisp, the breeze is brisk, and weekend-excursion options abound (pumpkin patch, anyone?). Of course, no escape would be complete without a perfect playlist — every long (or even short!) drive begs for you to turn up the bass and get your head bobbin'.
So, we've put together our favorite songs to jam out to in the car. We've included a little something for everybody — pop hits that call for an all-out sing-along, classic rock to cue the nostalgia, and even a little bit of country, because, hey, we had to! Now, grab your friends, jump in your Zipcar, and set the cruise control to dancing speed.
