We may not be home to a music fest with the cred of Coachella or Bonnaroo, but Washington does have one amazing live-music event to offer — Virgin Mobile's annual FreeFest, where a plethora of awesome big-name and up-and-coming bands perform for fans lucky enough to score a coveted free ticket.
On stage at this year's event? Jack White, Santigold, Alabama Shakes, Portugal The Man, and 18 other acts that rocked our socks off. But, we didn't go there just for the tunes — obvi.
